 Welcome to my Genius Hour Blog!

My name is Sydney Hayward, and I am a Teacher Candidate at Brock University! I am going to be a high school French and math teacher, and am looking forward to learning lots about how to become an amazing person and teacher!

This blog will follow all the things I try, to teach my boyfriend how to speak French (something he cannot do). 

My goals for this project:

• To learn new/effective strategies to teach someone French!
• To be able to share my progress along the way in hopes of inspiring other to do the same!
• To ensure my student is able to introduce himself and able to carry a basic French conversation, using basic French vocabulary.

Every week I am going to research and come up with different strategies to teach the basics of speaking French, to someone who does not know how to speak the language! On this blog I will post things that I have tried, research I have read, and how you to can try this with someone you know! Feel free to follow me along this journey and provide any advice or questions along the way!
